Trained at Escola Superior de Artes e Design (Porto) and in Curating Contemporary Design at Kingston University (London), she specialised in the dissemination of design through digital media, curatorial practice, research, and writing. Tugce is Ph.D. fellow in Technologies for Cultural Heritage doctoral programme at Torino University where she continues her research and experiments with a focus on an interdisciplinary approach to cultural heritage through design, curation, and digital sciences. Her research addresses the impact of digital technologies on the realization of interpretive tools of cultural heritage, especially for multisensory visitor experiences; in this respect, it also investigates the origins and changing interpretations of the term ‘immersive experience’. The specific research goal is the development of a framework for studying how digitised (meta)data about cultural heritage assets can be best integrated for the realization of exhibitions.
